The California Academic & Research Libraries (CARL) Conference brings together from across the great state of California hundreds of librarians, library staff, students, educators, and library supporters to discuss, learn, plan, and grow.
CARL Conference 2024, titled "The Insufficient Librarian: How Justice Fills the Gaps in Our Practice," will examine the critical need of the institution and our practices to address, counter, and transcend beyond the failures, mistakes, and inactions of the past and present. We will explore justice-centered skills, mindsets, and practices that encourage and empower us to do better librarianship for ourselves and our communities. This is an opportunity to build a brilliant tomorrow which seeks to learn from the past, but never repeat it. We’re so excited to have you join us!
